Great Holiday Alternatives: Beautiful Mini Lighted Outdoor Christmas Trees

If you are like me, you probably have one of those ornament filled, twinkling 7 footer tree holding court in your living room weeks before December. That’s great; but how about doing something different this year? Keep the kingly fir but deck your lawn with mini lighted outdoor christmas trees for all your neighbors to enjoy.

These miniature decorated gems standing in attention along your pathway look as lovely as Christmas itself during the day. Wait for the evening and these sparkling trees will be the recipient of so much attention from children and adults alike.

You can get artificial or live miniature trees. It might be a bit challenging to get live trees of the same size and shape but you can go through several christmas tree shops that have a wider selection. Decorate them in small white worm lights and fasten bright garlands of tinsel or mistletoes around the branches of the tree. For the risk takers out there, spray paint the whole lot of them with glow in the dark paint or a sheen of metallic color to get people talking even more.

Synthetic trees will be more economical for those who plan to use them for the next few Christmases (believe me you will). Determine on the motif you want to go for this year and buy the lights that will suit the look the most. Christmas lights now come in every hue, shape and flashing patterns; you won’t lack with the choices open for you. Space these lights evenly around the tree. Hang ornaments like bells and shiny balls around the tree.

Take extra precautions with your outdoor decorations so you will still be able to use them for the years to come. Avoid using breakable ornaments, weather conditions can work against you with this. Wrap the trunk of the tree with strong ropes and pole it through the ground firmly. You wouldn’t want them flying all around the street do you? You can also cover these sometimes unsightly ropes with taped gift wrapped boxes (fake presents) under the tree.

Before you go to the Christmas tree shops to get your supplies, have you marked out the spot where you want to place them? Is it cleared and near enough a power outlet for the extension cords to be plugged in? Ensure that these extension cords are safely covered to avoid being stepped on; or at least have a sign to warn passersby so they do not trip or crush them inadvertently.

There are pre-lighted trees you can also consider getting. The best thing about these little creatures is that they are cordless, battery operated and often times, timer controlled. This means that you just need to set the time and they will go off by themselves without you having to leave the comfort of your cozy little home. View and order mini lighted outdoor christmas trees in specialty sites online.

Your Christmas spirit is bubbling out of you, into your home, and now into all those who are fortunate enough to pass by your warm and inviting home. You are a beacon of this light, beyond the twinkling of your little trees-be merry and continue spreading the joy. Happy holidays!
